Privacy Policy

PickMyGenerator has two very different kinds of pages, and they treat your information very differently. Browsing is anonymous. Requesting quotes is explicitly not — that's the product — and this policy says exactly what happens.

Browsing (everything except the quote form)

• The ZIP code you type into the risk checker or calculators is used in your browser to show results. It is not stored by us.
• We use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics (aggregate visit counts, no individual profiles).
• Our host (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses transiently to serve and protect the site, as all hosts do.

Requesting quotes (the lead form)

• What we collect: your name, email, phone, ZIP, homeownership status, project details (home size, coverage, timeline, fuel preference), and your consent — including the consent timestamp, the exact consent language version you agreed to, and your IP address at submission.
• What we do with it: we share it with up to four independent licensed generator installers serving your area so they can contact you about your request. Being paid by those installers is our business model.
• What they can do: contact you by phone, text, and email about your quote request, per the consent you gave. Their use of your information after that is governed by their own privacy practices.
• Revoking consent: email [email protected] and we will suppress your information from future sharing and tell partners who already received it that you have revoked. You can also tell any installer directly to stop contacting you.

What we never do

• Sell your information to anyone other than the installer partners described above.
• Share quote-form information with data brokers or unrelated marketers.
• Contact you about anything unrelated to your quote request without separate consent.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes and contact
